Learning Institutions

This page is dedicated to the challenges and experiences we have engaging with schools and tertiary education institutions.  The intent is to share both challenges and successes highlighting the constant advocacy that is needed.


It is very important for me to share that this page is not an attack on teachers.  I am a teacher/PLD facilitator and I completely understand the complexities facing schools and teachers when they are tasked with meeting the needs of all students.

As a parent, one of the most time consuming and challenging roles I have is to advocate for my children with schools and tertiary institutions.   I firmly believe that I shouldn't have to advocate so strongly for the needs of my children to be met.  I am well aware that constant advocacy is required.

To those within learning institutions who believe I demand too much and that I want special treatment for my child, I would like to share the image below.
