Why I am Blogging

I started this blog years ago but didn't do much with it. We are now a blended family with 5 children who all have a diagnosis of ASD. My husband also received his ASD diagnosis as an adult which we promptly pinned to the fridge next to the boys' school certificates. Other diagnoses sitting in the mix include severe anxiety, ADHD, irlens and PTSD. It is a loving yet complex family environment.

After years of feeling the judgement of others when my children and husband did not behave as neuro typical people might do, I have often said and thought that their judgment may not be so harsh if they were able to walk in my shoes for a short time. So here I am trying to share what it is like walking in my shoes.
